Get That Bag, Whatever Your Price Range
I have been eyeing a teal patent leather bag for quite some time. It’s the same thing every season - I scout out a bag, visit it for a couple days to weeks to months, and justify why I absolutely must have it (if it’s a “I can’t live without it” bag, I will buy it on the spot). Sometimes you just know when you’ve found the bag. Other times, you’re not sure. It got me thinking, times like these call for a little budget exploration and creativity. I am in love with the Coach and Hype bags featured below. However, being the investment buyer that I am, my money is spent on items that transcend time and season. And while I haven’t yet decided which teal (or hot pink) bag that’s calling my name, you can rest assured the final decision will be based on quality and cost. The following bags are not the same in size, color or quality, however, it will give you an idea of what to look for when trying to replicate a look.

Orange is fabulous! Another favorite color of the season (tangerine, etc.). It’s one of those colors that keeps coming back - very different than, let’s say, hot pink. Though I would love a hot pink bag … wow, it’s not going to transcend time, ya know! Way to go Kay!!
I know what you mean about getting a concept for the bag you want stuck in your mind.
Earlier this season I decided that the bright color from the spring collections that I would embrace is ORANGE! So I started looking for a bag and belt in orange - there were a lot to choose from.
FInally I decided to go for a structured look that would last a few seasons (kind of like I did a few seasons ago when I got a yellow bag - I still use it and still people ask about it). After much searching I settled on a bag from Cole Haan - (medium work tote in the village collection). I won’t lie last week I was still deciding between several bags and then a 30% off coupon from Cole Haan arrived in the mail two days ago - seemed like providence! So I bought it!
