Archipelago Home Fragrance Diffuser in Red Currant; Lemongrass
The best, by far, home diffuser I have come across. The price is excellent ($55-$60), it lasts for at least 6 months, and the fragrance permeates throughout your home. I can’t get enough of Red Currant. So yummy smelling. I also like Lemongrass … think SPA! No doubt, an A.
become Hydration Serum
Sodium Hyaluronate is known for hydrating the skin, and is the main ingredient in this product along with Quartz Extract. Though it feels like water, it holds in moisturize for a long time. Paired with the night cream, it leaves your skin smooth and soft. Kudos, a B.
become Night Cream
Love the ingredients in this night cream. One of the key ingredients, Matrixyl 3000®, provides a pro-collagen and pro-elastin peptide blend that smooths and firms. It smells divine, too! Wish it was a bit thicker, though, for the winter months. This gets a B+.
become Reveal Enzyme Peel
Okay I have to admit, no fine beads appeared when I massaged the product in a circular motion before rinsing off. With that said, holy cow was my face soft afterwards. Fruit acids do wonders for exfoliating skin. Great product. B!
Mary Kay Neutral Lip Pencil
One of the softest lip pencils ever - and stays put forever. At $10, what a deal. This color is great on me and I can wear it alone or under lipstick or gloss. An A.
Bliss Poetic Cosmetic Waxing Kit
Holy freaking cow! Though I am no pro, bye-bye professional waxers. If I can do this (under the influence of wine, albeit), anyone can do this. Eyebrows - simple, just make sure no wax gets where you don’t want it. Underarms - the simplist area to do. Bikini area - a breeze, really! Legs - I will never attempt again … it’s just too big of an area and induces more pain than I am willing to withstand. For the cost ($45), it’s a no brainer … even for the novice. And it lasts for 4 weeks! Easy A.
Kinerase Ultimate Day Moisturizer
I really love how this cream adheres to your skin and provides a ton of moisture. It evens out your skin and somewhat mattifies, which I like. And it contains antioxidants! My only pet peave, no SPF, so you have to add in a step to protect your skin from harmful rays. Due to that, this gets a B-/C+.
CARGO PlantLove Botanical Lipstick in Joshua Tree
Fabulous color. Fabulous formulation. Fabulous for the environment (thank you). And pretty packaging. Bonus, the outer carton is made of flower paper embedded with real flower seeds. Even better, CARGO is donating $2 from every sale of this lipstick to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Yeah, an A.
DermaRadiant Ageless Eyes
Ageless Eyes is one of the best de-puffing eye creams I have come across. My husband’s eyes get especially puffy, and this product depuffs brilliantly. You know you’ve come across a terrific product when your husband asks you to reorder more eye cream. An A.
Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara
Not. I just don’t like it. It’s too dry. It was touted to mimic Diorshow Mascara but it’s not even close. I have to give this a D.
Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream
I did not anticipate liking this cream as much as I do. In the winter months, it really guards against wind and cold. Even in harsh elements, my dry skin did not show through. Amazing. It’s especially suitable for mature or sensitive skin types, which may be prone to redness. I prefer using this at night, since it doesn’t have an SPF. If it had an SPF, it would receive higher marks than a B-/C+.
Go Smile Advanced Formula B1 Tooth Whitening On The Go
These are nice and convenient and easy to use. The taste doesn’t bother me. However, it’s a bit more work than Crest Premium White Strips. The Go Smile Dailys are nice, too - especially for touch ups when traveling. I’d have to give this an even B.
Neutrogena Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse Eye Cream
This product has a lot of hype behind it, with claims to neutralize 90% of free radicals and eliminate crow’s feet, puffiness and dark circles. I like the texture and it absolutely reduced puffiness for me. However, I cannot get passed the fact that it peels off mid-day. I noticed flakes under my eyes and to the side of my eyes the very first day. And it happened over and over again. So, I switched to only using this at night. This gets a C-.
MBTs M. Walk and Sport Low
![]()
I bought the orange sporty ones (M. Walk) almost a year ago, admittedly to target cellulite. I felt a difference immediately (in my buns!) and it really forces you to improve your posture. However, they are heavy and as a result, one of my knees started to turn in. Recently I received the black ones (Sport Low) pro bono (thank you!!) and these are much lighter. Of course, my toes on my right foot go numb (don’t ask, it’s my love/hate relationship with tennis shoes which is why I loathe tennis shoe shopping). I eventually regain consciousness in my toes, so it doesn’t stop me. And I feel like I am getting a tougher workout. Can’t say I’ve noticed any reduction in cellulite, but I sure am enjoying my MBTs. These get a B!
