Is Your Lipgloss Poppin’?
Gotta give Lil Mama props! I started getting into lipgloss (well, giving serious thought to it anyway) about two years ago. I was in Philly at the King of Prussia Mall … in Neiman Marcus, of course. I was sitting at the Dior counter and Diana was helping me achieve a new look. Back then, what was different for me was a neutral gloss…gold, to be exact. I was so used to having a matte color on my lips. It was refreshing to try Dior Addict Ultra Gloss … it’s very shiny and sophisticated. Gloss, and gold to boot, was a departure from my “typical lips” at the time. Soon thereafter, I picked up DiorKiss 248, Bobbi Brown Brown lipgloss, Dior Backstage Gloss Show in Karolina Beige, Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect in Stretchy Brown and Chanel Glossimer in Constellation (thanks to my sister, Kelly).
Now? I just love lipgloss! My very favorites of the moment are from Wallett (Riviera and Afterglow). Victoria, you invented the best ever gloss that looks and feels natural and smells deliciously yummy - good enough to eat!
As lipgloss has the tendency to make lips appear fuller, that lends itself to discussion around lip plumpers. There are several I have tried … Patricia Wexler MD’s No-Injection Lip Plumper, Lipfusion, Duwop and a Restylane lip plumper sample compliments of my friend, Donna (thanks, Donna!). All of these had a bee-sting feeling (minus the Restylane) and yielded the same result - temporary fullness. Some lip plumpers can make your lips dry. My recommendation would be to apply lip balm over the lip plumper if it’s gel or cream based. Otherwise, try a thin layer underneath. My friend, Kay, has tried Mary Cohr’s Nouvelle Jeunesse Levres, known in the States as New Youth Lip Care, and says it makes her lips look fuller and feel softer. And the fact that a little bit goes a long way makes me so tempted to try some for myself. Hmmmm, I think I’ll go online and order some today.
Any others we should try?

Welcome from Amsterdam! I have to assume you are recommending Sarah Aloe Cosmetics, which I have yet to try. If others have tried it, please respond with your thoughts.
